Jacob Kalmakrian - Bass

Jake was born in Beirut and his family tree is so confusing, it is very likely that he is, in fact, descended from Vlad The Impaler. This is completely true.

It was a fuse of Stone Temple Pilots and Led Zeppelin that made Jake want to be in a band and at fourteen, he taught himself bass guitar. Jake has been in a number of local bands before finding Retrofin, including Alessyndrome (heavy rock) and Syrius (pop rock) and shared the stage in one outfit with falsetto cock rockers The Darkness.

The first riff that Jake brought to the table with Retrofin became 'Tainted'; one of the band's live
favourites and one of the more 'balls to the wall' tracks on album The Human Condition.

Fact; Jake applied to be in Retrofin twice. The first time, they'd already brought in someone else
so he didn't get a chance to audition, the second time, they were desperate.
